The
song list is an amalgamation of songs and instrumentals
associating with original material of some Irish traditionals. |
|
|
The sextet's original style draws from the feelings
and diverse experiences of these six experienced musicians to create a new and unique sound. |
take their name from a small coastal village in the west of Ireland known for its musicians,
not least among them the gentle figure of Micho Russel.
Though clearly and enthusiastically impregnated with the aesthetic values of Irish traditional music at its best,
the musicians of
demonstrate a feel for musical improvisation and composition
that shows they have not lost sight of their distinctive French roots.
I warmly welcome this their first album and wish them every success! |
