Hi guys – saw your Morristown show on Friday eve – I thoroughly enjoyed it – is true, first u.s. show? – while in u.s. think about covering a common u.s. irish gig like song that we all know – i.e. something pete seeger, or Springsteen’s ‘american land’ – other potential covers to freak your u.s. audience out are someing U2, something van Morrison, something coors or cranberries (keeping with the irish theme – just one or 2 covers to add to your already wonderfull show – best of luck to you

Thoroughly enjoying your wonderful Doolin” album – if you ever consider a future concert in San Antonio, the Majestic Theater is a beautiful venue –

    Dear Doolin,

I believe I stumbled upon you googling Doolin–the place where I first began to love Irish music over 25 years ago. Since then I have enjoyed the music of The Bothy Band, Altan, Dervish, Lunasa , as well as some more traditional irish groups , new and old, immensely. Being american and loving lots of music , I also enjoy pop, rock, some jazz, folk and world music. And so. . . I really , really love your fusion of all of these things!!!! Your incredible energy and modern take on traditional music , with a rock n roll sensibility and infusion of jazz, is fantastic!! I hope to see you one day soon in Denver, Colorado, USA. Otherwise , I am sure I will have to travel. Let me know if I can be of any assistance in some way.

  8. I could not stop smiling as I tapped my toes to the new release Doolin’ on Compass Records. I will be featuring this CD on Celtic Harvest July 10th from noon to 2:00 on WUTC 88.1 FM in Chattanooga Tennessee. It will be a real treat to introduce you to my listeners!

  9. Hej! I discovered you by accident on youtube 2 days ago and was stunned… I´m a musician and a big fan of irish music (and come from sweden) and was looking for tin whistle tunes and stumbled on you! You are ALL wonderful musicians and if you ever come to sweden I will be there! You have a new fan!! 🙂

Fot the 3rd time we were in Lorient for the FIL. We first heard your music in 2009 at the festival and bought your 1st CD popcorn behaviour. We still like it and play it several times a week. And in 2010 we were there again and bought Angels are Free and Concert au Central Park. We love your music very much and we hope that you’re having lots of success! This year we bought your new CD, and we love it! We also got the DVD for free and we are going to spread it all over the Netherlands, because it is very lovely music that you are playing! We are big fans of your music, because its is very pleasant to listen to and it’s also a big pleasure looking at you! This is because off the enthousiasm that you’re performing! Keep on with what you’re doing and you are going to be great artists! I hope many many people are able to listen and enjoy your music! I think you’re a phantastic band!
    With kind regards, Mariëtte

In Vannes erlebten wir Euch live! Purer Ohrenschmaus. Sofort haben wir vor Ort Eure CD´s gekauft. Leider konnten wir keine Autogramme erwischen. Dafür haben wir Euch nun zu Haus zusammen mit den herrlichen Erinnerungen an unseren Frankreichurlaub.

Hi guys! met this bunch of amazing musicians in L’Orient a few years ago! Love their music, their versatility, their imagination, their flair and most specially….they are very sweet natured and kind people with an absolute passion for Irish Music. What an compliment it is for us, the Irish, to have this band honour and respect our music in the manner in which they execute it. Looking forward to the next musical venture
Best wishes and good fortune to you always
    Aine

    Hi Will and all,
Memories of last Summer seem so far away in these dark Yorkshire winter days, but looking forwards to seeing you in Headingley on Sunday 6 March. Hopefully, Rob and Marie will be with us. Do we need to purchase tickets in advance and what time dœs it kick-off?
    Laura & Dexter

  25. Paul Grant

    Hi All
Hope you are all recovered after Lorient. especially the Galway Bar. I am still iistening to your CD’s “Really super stuff”. I played you music to some of my friends, all asking when will you be playing in Ireland??. Did you record Billy Gene yet??

  26. Carla & Rob

    Hi guys,
We loved your great performance at the Pam Pam Pub in Lorient during the Interceltique in august 2010.
Back home we immediately ordered the Popcorn Behaviour CD from Amazon and now we’ve discovered your site and ordered the other CD and the DVD.
We really loved the concert and are looking forward to any opportunity to attend another concert of Doolin’.
I suppose a condert in the Netherlands is not high on your priority list but who knows ????
    Love, Carla and Rob

  27. Peter Travers

Carol and I saw the band at Festival Interceltique de Lorient earlier in August. We immediately loved the fusion of traditional Celtic, jazz and modern genres (e.g. rap), typified by As I Roved Out – the rap version – which they were playing as we came upon them that afternoon (you can see the video of that very performance linked from YouTube on the home page of this site). Altogether brilliant! There are very special talents in Doolin’.
So now I must wait until next summer, when we will visit Lorient again or buy the DVD, or both, of course. Unless you are coming to England. Have you any plans to do so? I have a 60th birthday in three years and would love to book you to play at my party so I can share your brilliance with those that I love. My present to them.

  28. Martin

  29. Karen Whiteley

    Hello, Boys and Nicky
Just to say a big thank you for making Laura’s wedding party even more special. Looking forward to seeing you all again very soon.
    Love from
Karen, David, Laura, Dex, Corbin, Marie and Robert

  30. Andrew Molloy

Despite being half Irish myself I have to admit that you guys are right up there with the very best of the Irish bands.
Last night’s concert in Urruña was a real surprise to me and my wife. We enjoyed it more than nearly any other concert in the last 10 years. Inventive, varied, very professional, extremely hard-working, skilled musicians. Thanks a lot for all your devotion and enthusiasm.
Go see them, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
    andrew molloy

  31. John

Lorient was great. It had to be the best reaction we heard right through the festival and we heard it every day as we had a stand in the village. The dancer from limerick on sunday worked very well with you. You need to get over to ireland soon, you’ll go down a treat over here. Let me know if you planning a trip, cannot promise to land a big gig but would like to help you. Hope your bodhran player is still playing the small (20cm) bodhrans he got from our stand. You guys got what it takes, go get it!!!

  42. Herma & Tonny from the Netherlands

We saw you in Lorient, the first week of august. We know the festival since 9 years. We have seen many groups playing, but we were more then impressed by your performance. Well done. There is so much energy en joy. The second or third time you had to play was with the same enthousiasm as the first time. Back home in the Netherlands we went on the internet to look for more Doolin’. We’ll try to buy an album here in Holland. Otherwise we have to visit an other festival with more Doolin’.

  43. Lisa-Marie

    Salut !
    Vous êtes genial !!!
Sorry but I can´t speak French well (it is horrible, how can I make the lines above the words???) so I try it in English.
I was in Lorient at the Interceltique Festival and saw you playing perfect !! You are brilliant!!!!!!
Now I hear your CD the hole day! All other groups are boring now!
    You are something particular!

  45. Aníbal Menchaca

¡Saludos, chavales!
